AUSTRALIAN SCALE 10 PER CENT. ALLOWED (Reed. Oct. 9. 1.50 p.m.) CANBERRA, Oct. 9. Pending the official inquiry into the increased costs of shipping caused by the war, the Minister of Customs, Mr. Lawson, fixed maximum freight rates for the inter-State and intra-State shipping at 10 per cent above the rates prevailing on August 31.
