RAIDS ON GERMANY
WHY HITLER CAN BOAST LONDON, Sept. 24. Herr Hitler’s boastful statement that Germany no longer fears airraids from the east, and can repel any air-raids from the west, coupled with the abandonment of intensive "black-outs” in Berlin and other cities has tended to cheer up tire German people. The British propaganda l o Germany, however, points out. that Herr Hitler knows that he can rely on the British and' French promise to refrain from bombing open towns, whereas Britain and France dare not trust Herr Hitler, and, therefore, must Biot relax .air-raid precautions in British and French cities. They believe that. Herr Hitler, as in Poland, will not hesitate to slaughter women and children, unless lie continues to fear the repercussions on opinion in other countries, particularly in live United States.
