TIMBER FROM RUSSIA
SWEDISH SUSPICIONS (Reed. Oct. G, 11.30 a.m.) STOCKHOLM, Oct. 5. Whatever truth there is in persistent reports that Russia is seeking Scandinavian tonnage to ship timber to England, such offers would be viewed with suspicion. It is pointed out that cargoes would be paid for before leaving Russia, after which the Soviet would be no longer interested in their fate.
