PROVOCATION OF WAR DALADIER OUTSPOKEN FRANCE SPURNS TRUCE PERMANENT PEACE AIM (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Oct. 6, 9 a.m.) PARIS, Oct. 5. The French Premier, M. Daladier, in a statement to the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Deputies, emphasised Anglo-French solidarity. “France refuses to bow to violence and to accept a fait accompli,” said M. Daladier. “She does not want a truce between acts of aggression, but a permanent peace guaranteeing absolute national security within the framework of security for all nations. The cause of the war was Germany’s determination to dominate Europe. France and Britain had tried in every way to solve Europe’s differences short of war, but Herr Hitler provoked the war and he must shoulder the entire responsibility.” M. Daladier paid a. tribute to Signor Mussolini’s last-minute efforts for peace and emphasised the friendship and perfect loyalty characterising Franco-Turkish relations.
