The diiec'ors of Australian Iron and Steel Limited intend to pay on November 1 the preference dividend arrears for two and a half years to November 1. 1937 The proposed payment will be £14,;0s 7ld per cent, leaving the dividend two years in arrears to next November S. BRITISH INSURANCE The directors of the South British Insurance Company, Limited, decided this week to recommend a final dividend of Bid. a share for approval at the annual meeting on October 2G. With the interim dividend of a similar arnoupt paid in April, the distribu‘:cn for the year ended August 31 will be again 17d. a share, equal to 14 I*6 pe>' cent.
