Phone 1099.* Approximately 885,000 brown trout fry have been liberated in streams and creeks by the North Canterbury Acclimatisation Society between August 31 and September 12. A report before the council of the society said that there were a further 700,000 approaching the stage of liberation. The rainbow ova received from the Internal Affairs Department in exchange for brown trout oYa numbered 506,000.
