WORK OF THE SESSION
THREE MORE MEASURES YESTERDAY'S CLEARANCE (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. After 12 hours’ work, the House of Representatives to-day cleared the order paper of all but the final three measures required to be passed this session. The bills put through all stages were the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amernment, the Statutes Amendment, which included a clause devised to stop drinking at dances, which, in the light of evidence submitted to the Select Committee, received general approval, the Finance Bill No. 2, and the Visiting Forces Bill. The last was a war measure defining the status and disciplinary powers over visiting troops in New Zealand. When the House rose at 2.10 a.m;, the acting-Prime Minister, the Hon. P. Fraser, stated that the Marketing Amendment Bill and the Fair Rents Bill would be considered to-day. He gave no indication of when the Reserve Bank Amendment Bill, the last measure of the session, would be introduced
