“FULL MEASURE”

RATIONING OF FOOD • NO DETAILS YET (British Official Wireless.) Reed. Noon RUGBY, Oct. 2. Following some speculation in newspapers on the scales o£ food ’ rationing, the Food Ministry announced to-night that any statements appearing in the Press givirig forecasts of the amounts of rations were entirely unauthorised and of no value.

N 6 official statement was issued to the press and none was yet available. Adequate public notice of the date of the Introduction of rationing, with full particulars, would be given.

Broadcasting on September 29, the Minister of Food, Mr. W. S. Morrison stated that the object of rationing was to secure an equal division, and that there would be “full measure but not overflowing.’’
