CONSCRIPTION URGED
INVERCARGILL VIEWS • - R.S.A. RESOLUTION (Per Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, this day. Surprise that the Government had not introduced compulsory military service was expressed in a resolution passed last night by the Invercargill Returned Soldiers’ Association. ■The resolution is: “That this executive. expresses its surprise at the attitude of the Government in not conscripting the man-power of tLje country. The Government has thought 8111181316 to conscript all supplies and materials, and we maintain that conscription means equable sacrifice. ./“After personal contact with most of the eligible men. v/e find more than 90 per cent of those affected are strongly in favour of conscription. We consider this fact alone should influence members of Parliament.”
