Eleven started, including the Trump and Amiable. A head; half a head. Time, 1.37:;. Tullamarinc Handicap, of £400; lj miles.—Maikai, 7.9 (Mornement), 1; Maluno, 8.3 (Dewhurst), 2; Rivette, 8.4 (Heather), 3. Ten started, including Elan age and the Caulfield Cup favourite. Pure Gold, who finished last. Elanage was second to last. Maikai won by three-quarters of a length; a neck. Time, 2.4. The New Zealand-bred colt. Grand Tour, who was heavily supported in the Merri Trial Handicap, finished near the end of the field and disgraced himself. The hurdler Trenlwood fell and broke his neck and was destroyed.
