EVACUATION OF CHILDREN
EXTENSION IN BRITAIN AGED TWO TO FIVE YEARS l (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 2.45 p.m. , RUGBY, Sept. 29. The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Labour announced to-day that the Government’s evacuation scheme was to be extended to children between the ages of two and five years who would be billeted without their mothers on the same terms as older children. “We hope to form groups ot them at evacuation centres and place them together in houses which will be run on the lines of nursery schools, he said.
