SIR T. BLAMEY’S COMMAND UNIT OF 20,000 MEN (Eloc. Till. Copyright—United Proas Assn.) (Reed. Sept. 30, 9 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Sept. 29. ' / Major-General Sir Thomas Blarney lias ‘been appointed to command the sixth division' of 20,0Q0 troops being raised for service overseas.
Lieutenant-General E. K. Squires, who is at present Inspector-General and Acting-Chief of the General Staff, will continue to act itl that capacity until the termination of his engagement, Lieut-General Squires is an Englishman on loan to Australia.
Major-General Sir Thomas Blarney is the officer commanding Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.
