Control of War Funds
“I think that any local body would do well to await direction by the Government before starting to raise money,” said Mr. G. London, Mayor of Petone, when a statement from the Wellington provincial council regarding the control of war funds was read to the Petone Borough Council. “What we want is a concerted effort, and the Government can best tell us what is required.” The letter was received.
