MAY END THURSDAY NEXT WEEK’S PROGRAMME (Pnrlinimmtitry Rcpoi-ler.) WELTjINGTON, this day. The passing of four more Government measures by the House of Representatives during yesterday’s -daylight sitting demonstrated the capacity of legislative dispatch, especially as the list included the Social Security Amendment Dill. The Rural Housing Bill, the Pharmacy Bill, and the Land Laws Amendment Bill also went through the final stages. The Hou f sc adjourned until Tuesday afternoon. 'Replying to an Opposition inquiry regarding the next items on the programme, Hie acting-Prime Minister, the Hon. P. Fraser, staled that the Reserve Bank Bill and the Primary Products Marketing Amendment Bill would be introduced when the House resumed. He thought.the session could end by Thursday.
An Opposition member smilingly advised the Leader of the House not to be so optimistic.
