Tin Mining Industry
So long as Britain retained contral of the seas British tin mining interests in Penang, Siam and Burma would be able to carry on producing in the normal way, said Mr. T. R. Weir, a resident of Penang, who is visiting New Plymouth. The tin mining industry was not greatly affected by the war, he added. Tin was an essential, metal, 'and the only difficulty anticipated was in cbnnection with the supply of materials for mining.
