THIEF BRANDED Pound notes had a habit of disappearing from a boarding house in Hampstead, London. So an invisible dye-powder was placed on every cashbox as a trap. A detective told ' the Marylebone magistrate later that he found a telltale mark on a towel and soap used by one of the boarders, Ivy Michou, a 42-year-old nurse. She was placed on probation on a charge of stealing a £1 note.
