N.S.W. TAX INCREASES
TOTAL £3,900,000 (Reed. Sept* 27, 2.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, Sept. 26. Among the taxation increases under the New South Wales Budget, the bookmakers’ betting tax has been increased from 1 to j per cent on the turnover.
Increased revenue will also be derived from probate, death and stamp duties. The total taxation increases amount to £3,900,000.
