GRANDI’S REGRETS
UNABLE TO' RETURN FAREWELLS IN LONDON (Elec. 'Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Sept. 28, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 27. The Foreign Secretary, Viscount Halifax, has received a telegram from Count Grandi, former Italian Ambassador to, London, expressing sincere regret at being unable to return to London to take his official leave of the King and-Queen and the,British Government. Count Grandi hoped'in the near future to be, able to do so. The Count and Countess, Grandi are kindly remembered by a very large circle of friends they , made during their seven years’ stay; in Britain. Much regret is felt at their departure. Meanwhile the arrival of the new Italian Ambassador is warmly .awaited.
