PRICE RISE FORECAST
COST OF BENZINE ADVANCE IN. AMERICA (Per Press Association.) * HASTINGS, this day. A prediction' that there would be a further increase in petrol prices was made at Hastings yesterday by Mr. J. P. O. Skogltind, No.- 2 transport licensing authority. Freight rates were bound to rise in the benzine industry itself, he said. Consequently, the retail price of the commodity must be Increased. In the United States the petrol price had increased two cents, and it followed that there must be another rise in New Zealand.
