SENSATIONAL (JOLF SHOT The most sensational shot played during the recent winter golf circuit in the United States, was that made by Harold McSpaden, at Los Angeles. He needed a four to tic with Jimmy Thomson for second place, and. taking a No. .‘1 iron, from 180yds, holed out to give him a birdie three and second money. This shot must have melted him well over 1000 dollars. McSpacfen is also credited with the lowest round in competition play during Ihe circuit with Oil at'San Antonio, and an amazing SO on the same course in a practice round.
