WHAKATANE GOLF

HOME PLAYER’S WIN (i[SHORNM RUNNER-UP The annual Dominion Day tournament conducted by the Whakatane Golf Club during the week-end, and concluding on Monday, was well patronised by players from neighbouring districts, and the entry included a group from the Poverty Baj Club. The winner of the tournament was S. Napier, a Whakatane player, W. K. Andrews, Gisborne, being run-ner-up.

R. W. .J. Edwards, also of Gisborne, won a trophy for the best net medal round on the first day, land also won the four-ball bogey on the third day of the fixture. Others from Gisborne who competed. at Whakatane included C. 11. Wells and G. M. Reynolds.
