A report from Rio de Janeiro says that the British freighter Browning has arrived at Bahia with 22 survivors yof 'the British vessel Royal Spectre, which was sunk by a U-boat on September 0.
The newspaper Anoite sponsors the report of the landing of the survivors thus conflicting with the British Admiralty report indicating that the crew had been lost. A New York message states that the oil freighter, Japan Arrow reported by radio that she had sighted a submarine off Ocean City. Maryland, after which the craft submerged and disappeared. A Stockholm report says that Swedish ships carrying cellulose have been ordered (to ijiioeeed, via (neutral waters.
A communique issued by the Ministry of Information says it is understood that the Swedish Government has denied the prohibiting of export of wood pulp.
