DOUBTS OF ADMIRALTY
REPORTS OF SEA FIGHT COAST OP NORWAY (Reed. Sept. 27, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 26. The official Swedish News Agency yesterday broadcast reports of a naval battle off Bergen. Windows were broken toy the concussion on the Norwegian mainland. Houses at Bergen were rocked. The inhabitants of the Bergen archipelago were awakened at daybreak by violent gunfire and saw flashes apparently from guns at sea beyond the territorial limits.
The Admiralty announced that no report had been received of a naval engagement off the Norwegian coast, as would have been the case had one occurred.
