return to dominion BEAU YITE’S BRILLIANCE (Reed. Sept. 25, 2.10 p.m.) SYDNEY, Sept. 25. The trainer, F. Roberts, stated that no further attempt will be made to train Defaulter this spring and he will be sent back to New Zealand early next month and turned out for a long spell. The Svdney Morning Herald says that Beau Vite, by winning the Clarendon Stakes and Gold Salute by his striking success in the Rowley Mile, did impressive trials for their Australian Jockey Club Derby engagements next Saturday. The manner in which Beau \ ite galloped as he went past the post left no doubt about his ability to run the Derby distance. . Gold Salute’s victory was achieved with such ease that there is no saying how good he is. Beau Vite looks to be the Derby winner, with Gold Salute the hardest to beat.
