TAIERI RIVER FLOODS
2000 ACRES INUNDATED TRAIN DELAYED (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. Mild weather causing a quick thaw on the Otago Central mountains resulted in the rapid rise of the Taieri River, which flooded the roads near Riverside. This morning the OutramMosgie! train failed to get through. Some 2000 acres arc inundated and many farms are isolated.
