N.Z. LABOUR PARTY
MEETING OF P.B. BRANCH SOCIAL ACTIVITY. Last evening’s meeting of the Gisborne branch of the New Zealand Labour Party, held in the Selvyn Hall, was unusually short, the main business having relation to social activities. Before the commencement of business. on the motion of the chairman. Mr. E. Harris, the meeting passed a vote of condolence with the relatives of the late Mrs. Hudson, mother of the secretary of the branch, Mr. A. Hudson.
An invitation was received . from the Wairoa branch for a delegation from Gisborne to attend the Labour Day picnic to be held at Opoutama. It was decided that as much support as possible should be given to this outing.
Mr. T. Webber reported on • the activities of the Labour Day committee in Gisborne, ana a donation was made to the funds for the annual picnic to be held on that date.
