COMPULSORY' SERVICE
URGED BY. COUNCIL (Special to tlie Herald.) TE KARAKA, this day. _ A motion was passed at to-day’s meeting of the Waikohu County Council, supporting the Government in its prosecution of.the war against Germany and expressing the opinion that in view of the probability of a long conflict compulsory military service, both for home and overseas service, should be introduced immediately.
