BRITISH ARMY TRANSFER MOVEMENT TO FRANCE SMOOTH ORGANISATION (Elec. Tel. Copyright —United Press Assn.) (P.Ut'sli Oflieitil Wii-le.-:.i ) Reed. 9 a.m. RUGBY, Sept. 24. A statement from “Eye-witness.” I now “somewhere in France” with the British field force, describes the vast preparation which is going steadily forward for the welfare of the British Expeditionary Force. The complicated mechanism of transferring an army as a going concern from England to France has now got thoroughly into its stride, and the admirable co-operation of the French is reducing hitches to a minimum.
The ramifications of this huge organisation .is controlled from a scries of modest-looking houses, flic main headquarters are in a handsome public building, where the local authorities plan to put up a tablet commemorating the fact, but for the moment it must be nameless.
