PUHA DANCES
COMING-OF-AGE PARTY JOLLY TIME SPENT (Herald Corrospondo/it.) Mr. and Mrs. It. .1. Brawn entertained a number of guests at their home last week-end lo celebrate the coming-of-age of their son, Mr. Cecil Brawn. A jolly time was spent in dancing to music played by Misses D. Scholium and N. Coates, and dance numbers contributed by Mr. B. Goodlcy on his mouth organ were much appreciated A delicious supper was served by the hostess, after which a birthday cake surmounted by 21 kewpies was cut by the guest of honour. Mr. A. Cameron, proposed a toast to the guest of honour, and presented him with the symbolic golden key. Mr. Brawn suitably responded. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. I!. J. Brawn, Mr. and Mrs. J. Red Cross Fund Dance On Saturday night a dance was held in the Pulia Hall to raise funds for tlie Women's Institute Red Cross fund. A jolly lime was spent dancing to music played by Mr. 11. Lenanc, Mr. F. Kemp acting as M.C. A dainty .supper was served by a ladies’ committee
Among those present were Mrs. A. •Cameron, wearing a frock of navy figured crepe-de-chine; Mrs. G. Scfton, black floral fiat crepe; Mrs. -’\. Thompson, black georgette: Mrs. M. Cameron, black .skirt and floral cocktail jumper: Mrs. If. Coates, scarlet matala-ssc; Mrs. T. Bennett, floral silk.
Miss J. Campbell chose a shell pink cloque frock; Miss M. Newing, Margaret Rose pink emoossert satin; Miss N. Coates, floral georgette; Miss N. Seymour, wine self-spotted taffeta; Miss M. Newton, bine floral georgette; Miss K. Cameron, cherry cloque; Miss F. Hope, pink sprigged dimity; Miss M. August, dusky pink crepe-de-chine; Miss J. McKenzie, white lace with scarlet spray; Miss E. Castles, white flora] taffeta; Miss F. Mills, floral sheer; Miss M. Fisher, black skirt and striped jumper; Miss J. Newton, deep blue crepe-de-chine with white spray; Miss J. Cameron, pink sprigged organdie.
