OBITUARY

PILOT OFFICER J. E. HULL

Piloet Officer Janies Edward Hull, whose parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. i. Hull, Hastings, were advised recently oi his death on September 19 as a result of an accident in Royal Air Force training operations, was born in Carterton in 1914. He attended Hastings Central and Hastings High Schools, and as a boy visited the Scout jamboree in England in 1929. After leav-

ing school he joined the N.I.M.TJ. Insurance Company, working for a time in both the Hastings and Wellington offices. He went into training for the Air Force at Rongotai 12 months ago and last December was transferred tb Wigram, where he gained his pilot officer’s certificate. News of his death was received only three weeks after his arrival in England.
