RUGBY IN WAIROA COLLEGIATE OLD BOYS WIN (Special to the Herald.) WAIROA, this day. A decisive victory by 33 points io 11 was gained by a team representing the combined collegiate Old Boys when they met a Te .Aute College Old Boys’ team in .the final match of the 1939 Rugby season in .Wairoa on Saturday. Football of ah uninspiring nature was witnessed,-play-for the most part being; very scraggyv, ■ , .... - Collegiate Old Boys’ points were the result of tries by W. Powdrell (4), Finch (2), Brady and Boag, while Carroll kicked a penalty goal and converted a try. and Harvey and Boag each converted a try. For Te Aute tries were scored by Huata, Raureti and Tuinataroa, while Kainamu converted one try. Mr. C. Mackay was the referee.
