EXHILARATING GAME
CANTERBURY’S SUCCESS BULLER. DEFEATED (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. With the pace on all the way and every man in both teams trying to open it out, Canterbury beat Buller in a Rugby match on Saturday by 12 points to 4. Tight play was cut down to a minimum and the crowd saw charge and counter-charge almost without let-up from whistle to whistle. Handicapped by injuries to three leading men in the first spell, Buller’s combination suffered. They were unable to press home attacks to the full extent. Particularly was the absence of Dunn, the full-back, felt, as in the first spell he had shown wonderful kicking form. Really the margin was not so great as it appears. Canterbury’s points came from a try by Walter, converted by Nolan, a potted goal by Nolan, and a penalty goal by Nolan. Buller’s points came from a potted goal by Dunn.
