A communique issued by the Ministry of Information states that New Zealand, -which set an example by the enrolment in London of New Zealanders intending to serve in the Expeditionary Force, is receiving at the Strand office many applications from men from other parts , of the Empire, but they are riot eligible-

The High Commissioner, Mr. W. J. Jordan, has taken immediate steps, to set out the organisation for operation in the first stages of recruitment, which will begin in a few days'. Among 500 already offered are 270 of military age, and 26 former officers have come forward, but some are over the age 23 to 39.
