HUKARERE SCHOOL

OLD STUDENTS MEET REUNION PROPOSAL Steps are being taken in Gisborne to form a branch of the Hukarere Old Students’ Association, and with a view to discussing the proposal a meeting was held in' Mr. E. Hooper’s office on Friday. Outlining ihe purpose of the meeting, Mrs. Tureia, stated that when Miss Bulstrode, a former principal of the school, visited old students in Gisborne two or three years ago, she intimated that there were many old students residing in the Gisborne district, and said she saw no reason why an association should not be formed to keep in touch with the school. As there were many old students not on the list of names submitted to the meeting and who had not been advised of the gathering, it was decided to adjourn the meeting for a week to enable notices to be sent out.
