OUTRAGE IN RUMANIA

(British Official Wireless.) Reed. 2.30 p.m. RUGBY, Sept. 22. The British Government, on receipt of the news of the death of the Prime Minister of Rumania, M. Calinescu, immediately sent the Rumanian Government an expression of sincere and heartfelt condolence in the great loss Rumania had suffered. The Prime Minister, Mr. Neville Chamberlain, also sent the following message to the actin'g-President of the Council: “I have been deeply shocked by the tragic new's of the assassination of M. Calinescu, and wish to express my most sincere sympathy in the great loss which Rumania has .suffered.”
