EFFORTS IN BRITAIN COMMON ARTICLES (Rccd. Sept. 23. 1 p.m.) 'LONDON, Sept. 22. The Federation of British Industries emphasises the importance to members that the prices of common articles should be stabilised to the utmost and that any increase in prices not related to increased costs should be avoided. The president. Mr. Peter Bennett, sent a letter to the Prime Minister, Mr. Neville Chamberlain, informing him of this and adding that the federation was not exploiting the rearmament situation.
