DECLINE IN PROFIT
FARMERS’ AUCTIONEERING (Per I'ress Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. The annual accounts of the Farmers' Auctioneering Company, Hamilton, show a net profit for the year ended July 31 of £51,602, compared with £60,532 the previous-year. Preference shareholders have -received the usual 6 per cent divklenu, subject to 20 per cent reduction. The directors now recommend the payment of 6 per cent on ordinary shares, which is unchanged. The turnover dropped to £1,892,719 from £2,221,110, and the gross profits to £166,131 from £174,405, against assets totalling £592,477. Outside liabilities are £29,264, a percentage of less than 5 per cent. The company deals as farmers’ financiers in . the Waikato, the Bay of Plenty and contiguous districts:
