SECRET RADIO REPORT
CLOSE CONFINEMENT HITLER REGIME ASSAILED ‘AYE CANNOT WIN” (Eloc. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Sept.. 22, t) a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 21. The German Freedom Party’s secret .radio station, in a broadcast, again bitterly attacked the- Hitler regime, and declared that Dr. P. Goebbels, Nazi Minister of Propaganda, had been arrested and put in close confinement. The announcer added: “Hitler’s speech is one continuous lie. It is being said throughout Germany that a speech from Hitler is worse than a bad harvest. You Germans have the power to sabotage his factories, destroy tlie harvest, and paralyse traffic. “Every shell failing to explode is a shot in the heart of a hated enemy. Every ton of coal unmined is a blow to the regime. Every penny withdrawn from the savings bank will be missed, but Hitler cannot deceive us. We cannot win the war with the blood of 80,000,000 Germans. Hitler has no other resources. Britain and France have invested only part of their revenue in the war. Germany has spent al! her reserves in advance.” The broadcast was jammed out after 20 minutes.
The announcer also said: “Hitler has no chance of uniting the German people behind him, and will have to capitulate. He has not a chance. It is therefore better for the German people to rise and defeat him than to let him be defeated by others and go down with him.”
