LIST OF APPOINTMENTS .OFFICERS POSTED (Par Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The following appointments in the Royal New Zealand Air Force were gazetted last night;— Flying-Officer Greenaway, granted permanent commission on completing his armament training course and qualifying for symbol A. The following have been granted temporary commissions and posted to No. 1 elementary flying school in the rank of flying officer: A. W. Burbridge, F. J. Adams, A. W. Britton, L. F. Poore; in rank pilot-officer, P. C. Lewis, E. F. Ho Id a way, M. 11. McKenzie, N. A. Suttie.

Equipment branch, section 1: J. B. Price, in the rank flying officer to Air Headquarters; H. K. Tait, in the rank of pilot-officer to Air Headquarters; Sergeant Owen Wares, in the rank pilot-officer to Air Headquarters. Section 2: H. T. Grigg in rank of pilot-officer for engineering duties. Special appointments for administrative and instructional duties are: G. E. Yates, in the rank of flightli’eut. to the ground training school at Rongotai as officer commanding the training squadron and education officer; R. S. Neal, in the rank of flying-officer to the ground training school at Rongotai as navigation officer; P. B. Roebuck, in the rank of

flying-officer to No. 1 elementary flying school as navigation officer. Lieut.-Colonel A. J. Manson, M.C., Reserve of Officers of the New Zealand military forces js to be attached and is posted to Air head : quarters. Flying-officer R. J. R. N. Makgill R.A.V.0., is appointed to a temporary commission for the duration of the war in his present rank. Flight-Lieutenant C. E. Blaney, M.C., !s permitted to resign his commission on his appointment to a commission in the Royal Australian Air Force Reserve.

The following are appointed to temporary commissions: Equipment branch, section 2, as commissioned technical officers in the rank of fly-ing-officer: Warrant Officer A. T. Giles, to be commissioned engineer officer and posted O.C. at the Otnliuhu railway workshop aero shop; Warrant Officer H. H. Smith, to be commissioned engineer officer and posted as workshop officer at Hobsonvil'c depot; Warrant Officer A. E. Pope to be commissioned armament ofi Per and posted .as armament officer of the' trade test board at Ohakea depot; Flight-Sergeant A. Palmer to be commissioned engineer officer and posted as workshops officer at Hobsonville depot: FlightSergeant N. A. Vear to be commissioned engineer officer and posted O.C. at Dunedin railway workshops aero shop; Flight-Sergeant A. L. Partclow to be commissioned signals officer and posted as signals officer to Blenheim.
