8000 FRONT LINE PLANES AN ENGLISH ESTIMATE (Reed. Sept. 22, 10 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 21. A correspondent of the Auto says that Germany, since January has manufactured between 10,000 and 11,000 aeroplane engines. Allowing for losses in Poland, we should reckon on Germany having 8000 frontline aeroplanes, at least half of which would be bombers.
