ESCAPED SUBMARINE

SEARCH FOR THE ORZEL RUSSIAN CRAFT ENGAGED (Reed. Sept. 22, 11 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 21. A message from Copenhagen states that the Stockholm correspondent of the Berlingske Tidende reports that hree Russian battleships, six cruisers, 50 submarines, and numerous aircraft left the naval base at Kronstadt ostensibly to search for the Polish submarine Orzel, which escaped from Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, and which was reported to be provisioned for three months.

A Stockholm report states that two Estonians, namely a petty officer and an A. 8., who were aboard the Orzel when she escaped from Tallinn, appeared off the coast of Gotland in a small yawl. They explained that they had been kept aboard the submarine until yesterday, when they were released and drifted outside Swedish waters.
