Reference to the departure shortly from the district of Mr. A. Rockett, Government nominee on .the board, was made by the chairman, Mr. H. L. Harker, at the quarterly meeting of the Wairoa Fire Board. Members expressed regret at Mr, Rockett’s impending departure, and wished him every success in his new sphere of activities. Mr. Rockett suitably responded.—Special.
