ORMOND NEWS

(Herald Correspondent.) The final card evening in aid of the building fund of the Ormond Women's Institute was held last Saturday evening, when there was a very good attendance. The prize-winners were: Ladies: Miss M. Cook, 1; Mrs. Barber, 2, Gentlemen: Mr. Grcig, 1; Mr. Nickerson, 2. A competition was won by Mr. A. Friar. At the end of the month it is intended to hold a fivehundred evening for the Red Cross funds. The Ormond and Waercnga-a-hika bachelors are making thorough preparations for their annual ball next week, when the latest dance, “Boomps-a-Daisy," will be a .special feature.
