ALL-ROUND INCREASES (Floe. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (British Ofiieiii! Wireless.) Reed. 9 a.m. RUGBY, Sept. 20. Preliminary figures for August of British overseas trade show increases in both exports and imports over a year ago. United Kingdom exports at £37,077,000 were lower than in July, when they were valued at £40,355,000, but they rose compared with £36,331,000 in August. 1938. Imports were valued at £81,097,000. compared with £78,280,000 in July and £74,113,000 a year ago. Tlic figures for re-exports were respectively £4,488,000, £3,725.000, and £5.044,000.
