ABERDEEN ANGUS BULLS

YESTERDAY'S RESULTS AVERAGE UNDER 300 NS. DECLINE IN AFTERNOON During the afternoon's selling on the first day of the combined breeders’ bull fair at the Matawhero saleyards yesterday the attendance was slightly smaller than in the morning, and competition suffered. Aberdeen Angus bulls were offered yesterday.

The largest entry was in the name of Mr. W. Clark, Opou station, who had 37 bulls entered, and most of them were sold under the hammer at an average of 24 : |gns. The next largest offering was from Mr. Chas. Matthews, who had catalogued 25 bulls, the average being 25gns. Among the smaller numbers offered, Mrs. I Harris secured an average of 27gns, and Mr. G V. Smith 2(Hgns. These figures would be subject to alteration if the average were computed on the values obtained by private sale of the passed in lots. The highest price in the sale was 45gns secuikidby Mrs, I. Harris for a bull which was purchased by Mr. T. R Lees.
