MANY ARRESTS MADE
GESTAPO ACTIVE REVOLT AT SKODA WORKS (Reed. Sept. 2<5, Noon.) LONDON, Sept. 19. It is reported from Paris that the Gestapo is driving against Slovaks who are favouring co-operation with the Czechs as .their hatred of Germany grows. The Gestapo, according to a Copenhagen message are reported to have made hundreds of arrests after a revolt at the Skoda works. The families of those arrested were warned that they were forbidden to wear mourning if their relatives were executed.
, The correspondent Of the Paris Soir on the Dutch frontier reports that Uvc Germans were shot for remarking, “Why should we Tight when starving German soldiers, of whom thousands are concealed in the frontier woods, incessantly clamour for food.”
