AUSTRALIAN SUGAR
BRITISH PURCHASE (Reed Sept. 20, 9 a.m.) CANBERRA, Sept. 19. The Federal Minister of Customs, Mr. N. J. Lawson, told the House of Representatives to-day that Britain had bought 290,000 tons of Australian sugar at 7s 6d (sterling) per cwt.
