INTOXICATED DRIVERS
TWO SENT TO OAOI. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Two motorists, who were charged with intoxication while in charge of motor cars, were sent to gaol by Mr. F. 11. Levien, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday. Selwyn Wilson Notion, aged 32, a vulcaniser, was sentenced to 10 days’ hard labour and disqualified from having, a license for two years. The police said the car collided with a safety zone in Wellesley street last night.
Joseph Kov Anderson, aged 42, a motor driver, was sentenced to seven days’ hard labour and was disqualified from driving for 13 months. The oolice said that the defendant was travelling 40 miles an hour along New North road at 5 pan. on Saturday. He stopped in response to a traffic officer's signal and was found to be drunk..
