Sunday Meeting Permission was given by the Gisborne Borough Council last night to the Labour Day Celebrations Committee to hold a meeting on the Childers Road Reserve on Sunday, October 22, as part of the Labour Day celebrations. The Mayor, Mr. D. W. Coleman. M.P., stated that the gathering was not intended as a sports meeting.
