REGULAR SCALE OF PAY MINISTER’S ANSWER (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this clay. In an urgent question addressed to the Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones, in the House of Representatives yesterday, the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates (Nat., Kaipara) asked when the rates of pay for the Territorial Air Force, which was mobilised on September o, would be announced and when arrangements would be made to pay members of this force.

Mr Jones, in reply, said that the rates were exactly the same as those raid clown in the New Zealand Air Force Regulations, 1938, for the regular air force. Arrangements were made to pay members of the Territorial Air Force, which was mobilised on September 5, on September 15, and at the end of the month, namely, on the same dates as payment was made ‘o the regular air force.
